Job Overview:

Out West Buildings is seeking a motivated and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting and delivering sheds and containers to various locations, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our products. This position requires a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and experience in handling wide loads.

Responsibilities:

1. Safe Transport: Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle with a focus on delivering sheds and containers to designated locations.
2. CDL Expertise: Hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and adhere to all state and federal regulations governing the operation of commercial vehicles.
3. Mule Operation: Proficiently operate a shed mover (mule) to load, unload, and maneuver sheds at delivery sites. Training may be provided if necessary.
4. Forklift Experience: Operate a forklift to load and unload buildings or containers from trucks and trailers.
5. Route Planning: Efficiently plan delivery routes to optimize delivery schedules, minimize travel time, and ensure timely shed deliveries.
6. Wide Load Handling: Utilize experience in handling wide loads and working with pilots, ensuring compliance with road safety regulations for oversized loads.
7. Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the delivery vehicle and trailers, ensuring that they are in good working condition, including routine checks and basic repairs. Report any maintenance issues promptly.
8. Customer Interaction: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service during deliveries.
9. Documentation: Complete accurate and timely delivery logs and any other required paperwork. Maintain organized records of deliveries.
10. Adherence to Policies: Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, to ensure a secure and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

1. Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.  
2. Previous experience in delivering wide loads, with a strong understanding of the associated regulations.
3. Proficiency in operating a shed mover (mule) or similar specialized equipment.
4. Strong communication and customer service skills.
5. Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as the job may involve physical labor.
6. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
7. Familiarity with local and state transportation regulations.
8. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

Physical Requirements:

– Ability to lift and move heavy objects (50+ pounds).

– Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
